Who we are
I’m Captain Louise, a sailor, solo mother, storyteller, and lifelong learner. My sons Qwin and Zephyr and our ship’s cat, Captain JJ, live with me aboard Shambala, our 47-foot ketch.
Siren and Sons grew from a childhood dream of sailing around the world and a mother building a life for herself and her sons from the ground up.
The expedition
We’re in our shakedown phase, checking systems, building our filming setup, and preparing for a world sailing expedition. Shambala is our home, expedition base, and research lab.
Our work explores traditional knowledge and new practices that help people live in tune with nature. We share practical learning, resourcefulness, creativity, and the work of building a second chapter.
